I have yet to find a good vocal coach for Caitlin she went to one in Warrington who was amazing but the travelling there was getting a little tedious and then her dance school moved her lesson times and she couldn't fit her in anymore. She really needs one though so she doesn't do any damage.

As for open auditions that was the 1st and last for something proffesional they do a lot of opens for amatuer stuff though.

Just wanted to share this clip of ds (lead singer) and his tutor group at school performing Marillion's Season's End. Their tutor is a huge Marillion fan :D Assemblies were nothing like this in my day!

really lovely - something that probably appealed to all ages - your son has a great tone to his voice - how old is he ? do you reckon he might stay a tenor after voice change tell him well done from us - created a nice atmosphere too

Thanks for listening and for the positive feedback. Songbird - he is 13. He loves choral music/MT/rock - he's just gone off to put pressure on his eardrums at the Pendulum concert at Wembley. Great to have such wide musical tastes! 8) .

It would be lovely to end up a tenor but I think he'll be happy whatever the voice as long as he will still be able to sing well.

My son only just 13 and from 12 voice starting breaking which was surprising to us all he has coped well with it well but he had to deal with sudden change physically as well went from being that little cute boy (he WAS very small for age ) to a deep voice lad overnight virtually - doing so much performing meant that it was so noticeable that everyone commented etc but now he has come through it all he is settling well into the new him all my other children are girls so it was different for me too ..he is singing through the change but does get frustrated with the limitations on him currently range wise .

definately not a tenor the other than that will have to see where the final resting place gets to - glad to say he still has a nice tone

in fact we picked dd friend up for a do the other evening she got in front as the back was packed - 10 minutes later when every one got out she was so shocked that ds had been joining in at the back cause she assumed that was one of the 18 year old boys talking ....lol

Hi Shortguy - the group that went to see Pendulum from our household thought it was the best they'd ever seen  and they do spend a good deal of time travelling round the country catching Pendulum wherever they can. Birmingham last Wed, Swindon on Monday.....etc

I don't understand the obsession myself but they have fun. :D Did your ds enjoy the show?

My dd entered Redbourn's got Talent on Saturday with this:

If she goes through to the final in September it will be on an outdoor covered stage on the village common as part of the 900 years celebrations with a possible audience of over 1000!!

Now we have to wait for a letter, yay or nay....
