He is able to wave at people when they leave the hospital. Such a small gesture but so welcome

Re: Brain AVM
Starting to make a little progress now
. He still cannot talk but is able to wave and knows who we are. The nursing staff are putting him into a chair so that they can take him outsides sometimes. It must be wonderful for him after 7 months to be able to leave the ward for a short while. His friends have been terrific and supported him really well.

Fantastic news NinL
Praying he beats this thing, what a long tough journey it's been for you all. Best wishes.

Re: Brain AVM
Don't know if you saw the BBC programme last night about the neuro-ciritical unit: this was where my nephew was and the film crew were there filming when we were there. They asked to film my nephew but my sister declined. Found it quite traumatic watching the situation back
. As an update, my nephew is now at a rehabilitation centre
. He continues to have loads of visitors of all ages and he does know us when we visit. Progress is slow but he is still here. Wishing all the other families who pass through this very special unit all the best.
