Hmmm, Anything Goes is licensed by Musicscope who I'm afraid to say don't have the reputation for being very quick to respond to things.
Still you can but try.

Oh WOW - Thanks IOS - that sounds like a really promising idea - and if I can't get it in time then at least I'll know for future reference and may be able to use it somewhere down the way when I'm a bit more organised.
So close to us as well - do you think it would help if I went and camped on their doorstep until Monday morning?!!!!
Right, I'm off to construct a suitable grovelling e-mail.....
I LOVE the idea of playing it and printing it off on Sibelius, but I'm afraid my schoolgirl grade 5 piano isn't up to this accompaniment (probably why I like it so much!) - and wouldn't there still be performance rights issues then too? Because basically it'd still be an unauthorised copy, wouldn't it? Because if that IS a "legal" possibility, I could always ask Mr M to do that for me?

Well.....
I'm not 100% sure about the unauthorised copy but when you hand in copies of your drama/poety pieces at the festivals they can't be photocopied, but they can be handwritten or typed out.
Is Sibelius the equivalent of typing it out.
I will ask dh to check at his colleges library too.

Re: "Friendship" from Anything goes
Well that's that then - I spoke to Music scope this morning, and there is no way to obtain a copy of the music unless I rent out the whole show, which seems a bit excessive!!!
This is what's in the T&C about copies:
IMPORTANT - copies of “Own Choice” works for the adjudicator
The Music Publishers' Association has recently issued a revised Code of Practice on copying copyright works and the
following concession is made for copying own choice pieces from volumes only for the adjudicator. Other items must not
be photocopied without the permission of the copyright holder in each case. "When an own choice work is selected from
a publication, containing several different works and which is not published separately, one copy may be made for the use
of an adjudicator at a competition or festival provided that the competitor or participant has already purchased his/her
own copy and that the copy made is not retained and destroyed by the Administrator of the Competition or Festival
immediately after the event. This permission specifically does not apply to set works." Competitors are advised that this
permission applies only to copyright holders who are members of the Music Publishers' Association (listed at the back of
the Code of Practice leaflet, obtainable from the Association at 103 Kingsway, London WC2B 6QX). It is the
competitor's own responsibility to ensure that they seek permission to copy direct from any copyright holder whose name
does not appear in the M.P.A. list. Single copies of items may not be photo copied without the prior permission of the
copyright holder. The permission does NOT apply to making copies for the accompanist, who should always be given a
printed copy from which to work. Photocopies for the adjudicator must be totally legible or they may be refused.
Unlike the speech and drama, there is no reference to hand-written copies, and I'm guessing this is because copyright of reading aloud poetry or drama / prose is not managed in the same way as music.
Think I'm just going to have to give up and use the version that I don't like as much. Oh well, at least I tried
..and thanks everyone for your help - it's much appreciated
