I totally agree with those who have said don't think if it as competition for dd -if dd is not right for the part then she is not right for the part.
I think if the circumstances were different I would help out, but in this case, I would have to do 3 different school pick ups

, drive to station, get the girls changed somewhere, take train and bus, arrive at audition place for 5.30 in part of London unknown to me, and whose to say the 2 sisters wouldn't be nervous/sick/hungry/need the toilet/start arguing with each other/have a strop. I just don't know them at all well enough and feel I owe it to dd to be 100% able to support her.
