My nephew has recently had his 21st birthday and I was able to have a conversation on the telephone with him. It is only in the last months or so that he could say a word or two so this is a big deal for us all. Thought you would like to share the good news.
That really is wonderful news - and it serves as a lesson to the rest of us never give up. Things have looked so bleak along the way that I'll bet it was difficult to remain positive, and yet here he is, making progress that they considered questionable last year.
I watched Secret Millionaire last night and the chap went to a centre where he met a man who had had an AVM (as has the millionaire's brother several years ago). It was very moving to watch his determination, he even went rock climbing, even though he is wheel chair bound. Good luck to your nephew, he sounds very determined too. The chap on the TV has a very supportive family. You have shown a lot of love and support for your nephew Nextinline and I'm sure that is helping him on his road to recovery
