KIDS CASTING CALL PRO WEBSITE

Hi all.

I have entered my DS cv on the kids casting call pro website . I have just logged on and have notticed it has been viewed.

It shows an unregistered user has viewed and has an ip address in USA.

Try to chase it a company etc but no joy.

Don't know if this is good or bad news!!

Anyone else ds/dd on there and can advice me.

My ds is regestered with KCCP and regulary gets people from US looking at his profile no a few other people who's childrens profiles are looked at by People from the US, my ds has been looked at by an IP adress from Beverly Hills about 60 times or more a bit freaky only thing is it's 1000 of miles away so not to worried as I don't live near there I would be worried if it was some one with a local IP Address. Think that KCCP have a kids site there so it might be just other children looking at kids in the UK to see what the kids in the uk are like but u never no.

Same here, I have noticed my daughters profile is viewed by the same unregistered user nearly every day or night. TBH I was going to report it & see if this person can be blocked.Will let you know how I get on..

Probably no need for undue concern. This is highly likely to be an automated "googlebot" type search/webcrawling thingymabob! I'm sure someone with more technical know-how can explain this more coherently but it's not likely to be a human being searching directly for your child's details - just an automated "trawl" of thousands and thousands of websites looking for updated information/changes etc which influences google ranking etc. I'm sure if you contact CCP they will be able to reassure you.

Yes, I think you are right pg - my kids were being viewed very regularly from LA and Moscow and I became concerned and emailed KCCP, they reassured me that it is usually automated searches, so should be nothing to worry about

Yes, Googlebot and spiderbots are always checking things. I use the website below to nosey about whose been looking at the kids profiles. Thing is tho it also tells you how to create a "false IP address" so it probably means that half the info is not correct anyway. According to the site my kids have been viewed by people on top of fells,d in the middle of rivers and on a roundabout in the middle of London

BTW - IP: 67.195.115.30 is an almost daily visitor and is a Bot.

We also get looked at by IP: 67.195.115.30 on a regular basis. I guess if you put your kids details out on the web then you have to accept that they will get looked at Shame its only a bot, I was hoping it was a California casting director.....

It is a good site though, ds had a really good job which he was invited to audition for based on someone searching the site.

That was the same amercian ip address!!

It's quite scarey that someone is looking at your childs's photo and you don't know who they are.

Had another ip address in Bedfordshire UK.

I guess if it was important they would contact the agency and get back to me!!!

I wouldnt hold your breath too much about someone getting back to you, from my experience the jobs they advertise are a better chance, tho they are sometimes only on for a day or so. Nevertheless, the more you log in the higher up the search list your child goes so worth a regular nosey. DS2 been on exactly 1 year today (guess I was twiddling my thumbs this time last year as well ), he has had 1440 views tho a lot thru searches for other cast for a programme he did a promo for. We've had a few film schools enquiring but as we are in the North it will put a few people off. DS1 joined in Feb and has had 848 views. I think it is a site worth being on for free, if you want to apply for the jobs you need to subscrube but if you are London based prob worth it.

my ds is on a free listing with kccp ,his details , credits and profile are there but we cant apply for anything. I have also noticed all sorts of views .mainley other children ! but on the plus side he has been viewed by legitiment people also .including two local ( to my area ) agents. and some prospective employers. so its not all bad.

My ds has only been listed on this site for about a month and has already had 184 views with the majority being unregistered from differing parts of the world. The most being the 67.195.115.30, the Californian number mentioned earlier, which i believe is registered at a school in Sunnyvale, so probably kids viewing site. The American Registry of Internet Numbers http://whois.arin.net/ui/ may give you an accurate address if you key in the number into the search box. I think the majority of views are from Automated searches and i only ensure that point of contact is my ds agency, so not really concerned. I agree that if you put any info online, you've got to expect that it can be viewed by others.

suggest that you set your profiles to hide from google, its in your profile contact settings for this site

It should then restricts the access facility to logged on legit users of the site, which BTW are more traceable, if you still get unregistered Ip its legit to complain to the company as the microsite fro your child should not be viewable by googlebot etc.
