Check that you havent subscribed for a set time,if your out of contract with them pop into your bank and cancel the direct debit.
With great power there comes great responsibility.

This site works by their T&C's signing you up to perpetual renewals unless you resign your account

You have to use this address

payments@thecastingwebsite.com

IF they don't action your requirement you must progress with trading standards, as they are publishing your minor's details and permission has been revoked

if they persist taking money from your account you can cancel your debit/credit card you used to pay that will stop them

just checked on the data protection register and this company doesn't even seem to be listed, which would mean they are storing and processing personal data without registration

also can't find them on companies house under that name, which does not bode well

Just cancel your payment intsructions with your Bank. They will soon stop sending you emails when they realise they aren't getting your money

Hi georgie rose

use this address

'officemanager@thecastingwebsite.com'

with this wording

I have emailed your company several times

I revoke all permissions for my Minor/s to be displayed on your site give name/names

give emailaddress for account

Despite repeated mails to your payments address resigning membership their details are still displayed and I am still receiving mailings

If I do not receive your confirmation of details being deleted within the next 24 hours the trading standards and data protection registrar will be informed as the data subject revokes all permissions for your site.

Sadly not so with this site their T&C's state perpetual renewal and they retain the data on their site which bulks up their numbers...... if you don't formally get their attention and get you account resigned

Several people have had the same problem with them it seems

I used the link ash put on (payments....) to unsubscribe today and asked for them to confirm that it had been done. They did this asking me to confirm I really wanted to unsubscribe as dd has a few months to go before due to repay. I replied saying definately. I then received confirmation of dds profile being deleted.
I feel the site has been a total waste of time (and money) if you haven't done a workshop, because they do not submit you for anything if that is the case. There haven't been any workshops nearby and even if there were I think they are very expensive, just to get a tick against your name so they will submit you. I thought that was what the subscription fee was for. Many of the castings appear elsewhere and several say dd was unsuitable even when she waasn't!

Hey folks I noticed something on this site set my alarms ringing it was"ceop registered" now I knew ceop didn't register people so I contacted them for counsel and here is their response

.......Thanks for your enquiry and sorry for the late response.  We have looked into this and have seen that our link has been used misleadingly.   CEOP have not registered the Casting Website and are not in a position to do so.  We do allow sites to use the ClickCEOP button but this does not indicate any level of endorsement on our part.  I have written to the casting website to ask them to remove any reference to ‘CEOP registered’.

Many thanks for bringing this to our attention.......

Thought all mums should know that ceop do not endorse this site !!!!!!!!

Bit late for us !! We took a half price offer at the end of last year but have had no auditions. Begining to think maybe it was a big mistake. Would love to hear from anyone who has positive feedback.
