You can also get hold of a copy of Contacts published by Spotlight and Actors' Year Book which list lots and lots of agencies.
It's not easy, getting agency representation, but you won't know until you try! Try to put yourself in the agent's shoes and ask yourself why they would want to take you on in preference to another actor. What do you have to offer them?
An agent will only take you on if they believe they can make money by doing so, either in the short or long term. Be wary of any agent willing to take you on without meeting you and be very wary indeed if they want an upfront fee. The best agents do not charge you to be on their books. You will need to send a CV and a good, clear photo together with a covering letter.
