Release forms
Last year ds took part in a short film, we have never received a copy and all attempts of communication are being ignored, the director is on facebook and has an up to date profile but ignores my messages and apparently he also owes the camera man money! These were not students. I never signed a release form for the film, so where do I stand legally, is it worth going down that route in order to motivate him to communicate? Any thoughts?
Re: Release forms
Sounds as though he is keeping his head down, perhaps the camera man isn't the only one he owes money to. It's really discourteous not to even respond to your e-mails. If he ever decides to release the film and your haven't signed anything, he will have to chase you for a response !

Re: Release forms
i finally found the film last night, apparently it was entered into film competitions last october and has been on youtube for 2 months. i am extremely cross, not only did my ds and i film with them for 2 days, they filmed the last shot of the shoot at my house, and not only that at the end of the second day ds started vomiting and we had to wait for them to finish up at that location to take them to my house to film the last scene while he was feeling really poorly, and in addition when we got to my house dd started vomiting too, so i had a film crew to contend with as well as 2 sick children and they didn't finish filming till really late and as they were using my older ds's bedroom upstairs i couldn't put the children to bed. we fed them pizza and made them cups of tea as they had to wait ages for the camera man and lighting to arrive, and then dh gave the director and assistant director a lift to the station to make sure they wouldn't miss the last rain back to london. and then as a way of saying thank you they never send me a copy of the film and ignore any contact. i cannot get my head around how ungrateful and rude people can be.
