We've been waiting 9 months !! Think they've been having a few problems with deciding on the auditions! Glad to hear we're not the only ones who feel like they've been waiting half their lives! :D I was told last Monday that they were making decisions last week and this week - so it shouldn't be too long now :)

Sorry, just wanted to see if you mean that your child had an audition to join Abacus 9 months ago and they still haven't told you yes or no? Surely a reputable agency like Abacus wouldn't do it? thanks

No sorry, I meant that my dd applied for an audition 9 months ago, and we still haven't heard back about whether she is being invited to audition or not. I suppose you're talking about the auditions for the younger children that were last weekend? The auditions for older children haven't been decided yet so we haven't heard back. I'm sure Abacus wouldn't keep the people who have just auditioned waiting for too long. I think its about 2-3 weeks that you normally hear by? Possibly less. :)

We have had exactly the same experience. Applied for DD to audition back in the summer, had an initial response asking for more details, then heard back on a delay in audition process but still haven't heard a yes or a no as promised. Am not very impressed!!

It's hard waiting isn't it? Even though I know they have to review all their notes and the tapes they took so it's likely to take a while. Does anyone know if they give some feedback if you're not successful? DD got some positive feedback on the day which I thought was nice but if she doesn't get in it would be nice to have an idea why. Of course I have still got everything crossed that she will get in!

Yes, I know in the past that they have given feedback whether successful or not - we really like them as an agency and one of the reasons we do is that they are very approachable and do seem to genuinely care - I am certain they will be in touch with everyone - good luck x

Funnily enough DD has just been given an audition for 27th March after me moaning that haven't heard anything from them for 9 months!! Don't know if that has implications for anyone waiting or if they will decide who they want from the auditions the other day separately?
