Yes my dd's nervous too, but I'm sure they will be very nice anyway. I think the workshop sessions will help to enable them to relax and perform closer to their best. Best of luck to her !

We haven't settled on anything yet Balletmad, but i think it will probably be a monologue, a short one, given what else she has to do this week. She's got her grade singing exam and her duet for gcse music, the school production dress rehearsals and course work due in as well ! I'm going to wait in the pub that they mentioned in their email, is anyone else going in there ?

Do you know what age range they are seeing on the 26th and 27th ? Because my dd hasn't heard and they usually let everyone know either way? We've already been on the phone to them twice this month, not really wanting to ring them again if they're not doing my dd's age range yet ??

Just going by what people have posted, i think on the 26th its possibly a younger group in the morning and an older one in the afternoon. How old is your child ? I think given that the auditions are close now, i would probably risk being annoying and try to ask them if you haven't heard by the middle of the week, incase it's an administative error or something. Good Luck ! I hope you get some good news. If by and chance you don't get an interview this time, it's probably just be that they have someone similar looking/ age on their books already.

I will try and remain patient, but I could try that if we haven't heard within a few more days, thanks.

Stagecoach2007, I've just tried to PM but it's still sitting in my outbox, don't know why?

Thanks balletmad. Don't worry . We have found at similar audition type things that they usually seem to make an effort to make it enjoyable for the children. They play a few group drama games and improvisations and they soon relax, and in the end we will be more nervous than they are ! I wouldn't worry if other people are doing monologues, they stitulated either, they wouldn't have done that if they had a preference. A poem might make a nice change for them and they might be even more likely to remember her !

I no that Abacus perfer monalogs rather than poems as they have more content and have more chance to show what u can do that is if they are not in the under 8 age group
