Congratulations to everyone who got into Abacus and other agencies.

And for those who didn't, their time will come. I also suggest using Starnow as my DD has had a couple of lovely jobs via that website. Though we're with Abacus, I find Starnow useful for quiet times!

Hi guys my son (ds?) waited 10 months to get an audition with abacus. He finaly got invited to one on the 13th of March but we still havnt heard back from them! 3 weeks is a long time to check your emails 200 times a day. So worried that they have just fogotten about him all together!

Surly there is not much hope of him getting on to there books if we have been waiting this long? #-o

Contact them today, you should have heard by now if he auditioned on the 13th, perhaps the email didn't get to you? They wouldn't intentionally have kept you waiting that long. Please let us know how you get on.

Hi Smegly, Crikey this must be driving you mad ! My dd went for an audition on the 26th and I already feel like we've been waiting for ever ! I don't know what other people think but, I might be tempted to send them an email just to check that they have the correct contact details for you, if you haven't heard by the middle of the week. How old is your ds ? The very best of luck. Hope you get some good news soon !

Hi guys, my son is 6 nearly 7. I rang ](*,) abacus and was told that some emails are being sent today or over the next few days, I was hoping she would just tell me over the phone and put an end to my suffering! She didnt take a name so not sure how long I should leave it before giving them another ring?I know other people from my audition date have heared, why not me Im not sure!

On the plus side my son hasnt asked once about the out come of his audition, so its only me whos going mad waiting!

Thnks for your help guys!

Hi.

It was the 13 at 11.30. I said the 13th when I rand but she didnt ask for an age or name and seemed very busy. Pritty sure everyone from my sons audition has heard but me. I rang abacus again but they have gone for lunch.

Somehow I get the feeling that being overlooked/forgotten about is not a good thing in this situation.

Did your little ones get accepted sophiesocks and stagecoach2007?

no i am afraid not, but he got some nice feedback, saying he had potential and encouraging him to continue acting, which was kind of them :)

They will get in touch there where other younger kids in last weeks work shops it might be that there is another boy similar to yr ds ie comes from the same ethnic group or from Scotland, Wales or Northern and they wanted to see what the other kids where like before they decided, they are very seltive and only take very few children all the boys I no repesented by Abacus sons age are very different . Its bad enough haveing to go up against kids from other agencys but u should not in compation from a childern from yr agency I no some times u do go to auditions with kids from the same age agency but if one gets the part then the others where not right for it. I hope every one waiting dose not have too long to wait.
