Crimewatch casting?

Post by igloobabe »

Anyone going for a Crimewatch casting at BBC White City on Tuesday? My dd is being seen for a reconstruction of an abduction(no violence or scary stuff) and has to do an impro with 2 other girls.

Oooh love watching crimewatch - would be my ideal role for my dd (not that she'd probably agree), never mind!!

Bit of a waste of time, drove all the way there from Herts, were kept waiting 30 mins and the girl she was meant to be improvising with didn't turn up, so she just had to improv a telephone call to her dad asking if she could stay a bit longer at the coffee shop. She did it really well, but we heard the two girls before her come out being told they were brilliant in their improv, and she never got to do this. Then we had to drive back through the rush hour, which was no picnic!

It didn't end there, either. Yesterday I received a penalty notice for £60 because on the way back whilst getting completely lost, I apparently entered a 'bus lane'!!! So not only did we waste a whole afternoon and half a tank of petrol, but I get clobbered for a fine I really can't afford! :( AAAARRRGGGHHHHHH!

OOOO ERRRR #-o how annoying
BUT - before you pay it, have a look at the following link, there are many ways that there could be loopholes. Look at the contravention code that it states on the ticket and look at the Road Traffic Act and see if you've been correctly penalised. I got off of a fine once using this website because the sign on the bay I was given a ticket in said 'Loading Only' and not 'Goods Vehicles Only ' - so I had the fine waived as my penalty charge notice has the incorrect penalty code on it !! and I got off another because the road signs were not clear and I'd had to cross a bus lane in order to make a left turn...so you never know.
