Hi. Just wondering if you can help me. My ds is taking part in alocal singing competition. He has made it throught to the quarter finals in two different heats. The problem is every time he sings they expect him to sing a different song. He is a boy soprano and has more of a theatrical voice then a pop voice. So far he has sung 'I want to break free'-We will Rock You, 'hallelujah' and 'Because i knew you' from Wicked. He's chosen 'Why God Why' from miss Saigon to sing next. If he makes it through, he has a week before the semi final in order to learn a new song. So, we'd like to think of one now so we can work on that as well (just in case). Can anyone suggest a modern song where he can show off his voice or another theatrical song (that is not too low)-i love him singing bring him home but he stuggles with two of the low notes so that's out of the window Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Plenty to keep us busy
Aaaargh. He's got through to the semi finals but they have asked if he could sing a more 'poppy' song?? next time to show his versatility. Now we're stuck as he doesn't 'do pop'. Any ideas? We were thinking of a Take That song but they start soooo low-he can't get down there. Once the song gets going he's well away. Any nice ballads maybe-that could still show off his voice Oh dear
