Abacus agency on Spotlight

When my dd signed with abacus following their recent recruitment auditions, they said that as her spotlight membership,9 which was through her old agency was about the exprire) it would be better value to let it run out and then put her back on with them. I've tried putting her name into the spotlight performers search bar, but it says she's not found. I also had a pin from the last agency and I've tried that but that doesn't find her either.
Does anyone know anything how this works and have any of you whose dc's have newly joined Abacus, know whether their photos have appeared yet ?!
Also do we get a view pin ?? I'd be grateful for any info please guys !

I think when your spotlight account expires and is then re started you get a different pin which is probably why you can't find her with the old one

We are new with Abacus and waiting on spotlight too... was told profiles should be up and running within a month. that was 2 weeks ago.... They did say that its down to how long spotlight takes to process them

My dd was on spotlight and her membership lapsed, her old agency never passed on the message saying it was due for renewal and her now sole agency were not informed, despite me informing Spotlight only a month earlier that she was sole agent with Chillikids now.
Because her page had lapsed everything on it was wiped off, so I had to re-enter all her credits, skills etc which took me 2 hours!
But her pin/log in is still the same so that was a relief!

Hi barney, chilli kids isn't sole agency but my dd is soley with them now, does that make sense? she was with Stirling at the same time until recently, that is who initially organised dds Spotlight entry. Sorry for any confusion.

If u put a child who is under 18 into Spotlight search it will come up with not known that is why yr dd did not come up I no my ds is on there when I searched his name came up the same

My daughter was also on Spotlight ( through a different agent) & in March was lucky enough to be taken on by Abacus!! \:D/So Exactly the same situation as Coco, as her Spotlight subscription does not expire until November. Her Spotlight pg has been 'taken over' by Abacus & her photos were recently altered.. I have her viewing pin as I had it previously, so can see this, but like Irishdancer says if I enter her name in a Spotlight search it does NOT come up, as shes under 18! If your viewing pin doesn't work, Id speak to one of the lovely ladies at Abacus.

irishdancer, I wasn't checking through search, I had her pin and it told me her subscription had run out, so I followed the link to re-subscribe and it told me her page was up and running and I didn't need to do anything! yet everytime I tried to log in with view pin or update pin it told me her subscription had expired. Finally agent sorted it but by this time all her information, photos, credits, skills etc had to be re-entered. It's up and running again and I have made an entry in my diary to make sure this doeasn't happen again (hopefully) next year. it was very frustrating especially as dd has over 35 credits in different areas, it took over 2 hours to re-enter everything!

Hi francescasmum, thanks that's clear noe. I panicked as dd just been accepted with ck but both dd &ds are with another. Didn't know whether to hang on to see if got an audition with abacus. They sent an e mail to say email a u tube reel but I thought might nit even get called so have accepted ck. Still wondering about abacus, do abacus charge to join ect?

Thanks Irishdancer and Janine, My dd's spotlight cover ran out at the end of may. Does Abacus usually let you know when they have chosen the photos and send you a pin ? I'm trying not to seem like a big pain in the a***, at least not yet a while anyway, so I was trying to avoid emailing them !

No, Abacus didnt let me know ,when the photos were changed as I had the viewing pin I could check myself...
The updates (since February)of all her credits havent been done yet,but will be soon
I understand that you dont want 'to be a pain', but Ive found the ladies to be super helpful with any questions Ive had , so I really wouldnt worry about giving them a quick call , & it would set your mind at rest..

Thanks very much Janine, I think I will risk annoying them, what the hell, not exactly being inundated with castings anyway. Might even remind them of her existance !

I bit the bullet and phoned them. I can't find her because she's not up there yet. Apparently it can take longer when they're going from child to young performer. So should be up soon. They were very nice, asked how her exams were going and had obviously taken notice of the information I sent them, becauase they knew when her last exam was too !
