Re: Agency Audition
My dd hyas been offered an audition for Abacus on 13th March but she is filming that day. Do you think they will consider looking at a recorded monologue, showreels etc or will she have to visit in person and take part in the workshop. She has a lot of thing on over the next 6 weeks, 2 films, a LAMDA exam, a theatre production and a holiday! and so is not really available until mid April, do you think they will consider her when they open their books in the summer if she doesn't go to this workshop?
Re: Agency Audition
Just found out my DD has been invited to that one too so here we go again! Not getting hopes up this time though. They seem a very approachable agency so it would be worth speaking to them to make alternative arrangements.
It's going to be a horrible journey from where we live too!

Re: Agency Audition
I just had a reply from Abacus to say they will include DD in next round of audition workshop, so really pleased. Saves me having to think about it until later in the year!
Re: Agency Audition
Hi, my dd is waiting to hear back from Abacus (sent application back in June!) we have not heard back yet and I know they normally email anyone whatever the outcome. Do you think its worth giving them a ring? Or waiting a day or two more? Do you think they send out all the emails at once?francescasmum wrote:I just had a reply from Abacus to say they will include DD in next round of audition workshop, so really pleased. Re: Agency Audition
How old is your DD? They are seeing children over yr 6 on a different date.
Re: Agency Audition
oh thank you, i'm glad to hear that! My dd is much older - 16, so hopefully we still have a chance for their next date. Did they tell you when it would be?
Good luck to your Dd with the auditions

Re: Agency Audition
Could anyone give me some details about the agency such as price?
Thanks
Thanks
I'd do anything, for this part, anything, for this means everything to me!
Re: Agency Audition
Hi shineonstage
Abacus do not charge anything, they take commission on any work obtained (which is how most professional agencies run). The Abacus website contains lots of information about how they operate.
