Sharing accommodation for Italia Conti at YMCA

Hi My son has a confrimed place at Italia Conti Theatre Arts school and we just tried to book long term accommodation at the Barbican YMCA but they have run out of singel rooms. They do have twin rooms available still so is there anyone else who has a son who would want to share with mine a twin room as we have to book together in order to secure the booking. Corinne, first of all congratulations to your son! I understand that you are probably exploring every avenue - and perhaps you have already done this, but isn't it more likely that Italia Conti would be able to help with this? Could you ask them to circulate your contact details to any other boys who have been awarded places?

When my DD went to Central they had a FB page specifically to help students to find sharers - worth asking.

Aw that's a shame wen my dd went there three years ago it was no problem and she is still there ! There are a lot of foreign people who use the Y so the situation could change daily. Agree with pg get in touch with contis also isn't there an induction day in July where u could meet other students who will be using the Y (maybe a case of better the devil you know). Dd always had her own room but she knows quite a few who found it "difficult" to share

Thanks to all so far, yes there is an induction day, July 19th , where hopefully he will meet someone who might share or maybe someone who has a spare room somewhere.
