The usual answer is actually a question. Do you want the best quality, or do you want cheap? The two seldom go together.
There are dozens of photographers in the central London area, so most people find a friend or colleague who has had them done locally, and take the recommendation first hand. Prices depend so much on what you want them to do - many people take advantage of special offers, maybe a range of different photos - so head shots plus full lengths - it depends on what you want. Just remember that if the price seems to good to be true, it probably is!
