KKCP

Post by Coco »

I was considering joining my dd up to Kccp and so I would be grateful for any opinions about how worthwhile people feel it is to pay the £10 a month. I noticed that you can make your dc a page with their details on before actually paying anything, but I clicked on casting call and it only shows four jobs. Is that because there are only four castings for them to advertise, or would I see more castings once I had paid the fee ?
Any advice gratefully accepted, Thanks very much!

There are not a lot of casting calls on KCCP really. What age is your DD? There seem to be more things for younger children (8-12) and more stuff for boys. I would definitely only join if you see something you want to apply for. You can see all the listed jobs even if you are not a full member - you can only access the full details if you are a paid up member and meet the criteria. HTH

We are on KCCP & there isn't very many jobs advertised. Also, we have noticed that the jobs that are suitable & have applied for, our application doesn't even get viewed. I have recently questioned this with KCCP & they confirmed that for us, the last 4 jobs we have applied for, our applications haven't even been viewed. This probably means that they get inundated with applications, thankfully we get it free, I wouldn't be very pleased if we had to pay for it. I think that Starnow has more jobs advertised. It would probably be wise to wait until you see a suitable job advertised before parting with any money. Just my opinion of course. :)

I wouldn't pay for it, no. You can apply for jobs without a subscription account. Unfortunately, like others have said, there are very few jobs listed. It is however worth having a page on there - even if you don't apply for anything, people can still find you one way or another; I got an audition for a student film which I did'nt apply for - the director had stumbled upon my profile - perhaps my headshot came up in the featured profile tab. He messaged me, sent the script and asked me to audition. I didn't get the role but the audition was good fun. Just having an account is another way of getting work (even though most of it is low/no pay, it's all good experience).

Coco for a profile on CCP you need to have NCDT / CDS membership or 3 professional (paid, speaking) credits ...

Also, there are very few jobs for 16 year old females on CCP ... most tend to be 18+

Yes. That's possible on KCCP but not supposed to be possible on the adult CCP!
