The Old Vicarage, Viney Hill, near Gloucester.
The Old Vicarage is a small piece of local history, built around the 1860s to house the vicar and his family who looked after the local parish church. It is a three storey Victorian building, situated in the stunning surroundings of the Forest of Dean.

Sunday August 5th to Saturday August 11th, 2012
Alton Castle, Staffordshire
Alton Castle is possibly our most exciting venue to date. It was founded and built on a rocky precipice overlooking the River Churnet in the 12th century. It was reconstructed during the 15th century and then took some damage during the Civil War. In 1847 it was reconstructed as a Gothic country house.

Sunday August 19th to Saturday August 25th, 2012
Bootham School, York
Bootham Hall is a well equipped independent school, enjoying a beautiful nine acre campus, laid out in lawns, flower beds and trees. It is hard to believe that we are only 300 metres from York Minster. The elegant and impressive Georgian buildings and historic city promise to be an inspiring location for filming. Don't forget, not only is York a beautiful and historic place - it is also renowned as the most haunted city in England!

Easter and Summer Film Camp

Re: Easter and Summer Film Camp
Flo and Pandy attended the film camp in the Forest of Dean last Easter and loved every minute if it.
The premier of the movie they shot is tomorrow. We're so excited about going to see it, and even more excited since we saw the trailer for it earlier today:
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?feature=yo ... u.be&gl=GB
Pandy is featured in this, but not Flo - we're looking forward to seeing more of Flo's contribution tomorrow (assuming she made it off the cutting room floor!)
Act2Cam have released dates for next year. If you're thinking of finding something challenging, fun and very productive for your DCs, I'd recommend them very highly. And so would Flo and Pandy.

Re: Easter and Summer Film Camp
Hi would just like to say, my daughter did the Alton Castle workshop this year, she had the best time ever, learnt lots and made alot of new friends and she said the teachers were brilliant, thank you Steve

Re: Easter and Summer Film Camp
In that case, are you going to the premiere tomorrow? If so, I'm the middle-aged-mother-of-two with an 8 year old fashionista and a 10 year old diva. You'll recognise me by the bags under my eyes. And they ain't Louis Vuitton!jodraper01 wrote:Hi would just like to say, my daughter did the Alton Castle workshop this year, she had the best time ever, learnt lots and made alot of new friends and she said the teachers were brilliant, thank you Steve

hi yea went to the premiere today, which film was yours in? my daughter in the camp cancelled film, was funnny! think a good time was had by all.
Re: Easter and Summer Film Camp
Great film! We were discussing it over dinner this evening. DDs were especially taken by the shot of a young man with a bra on his head(!).
My girls are the very young ones in 'Unwritten Blackness' (about a missing daughter called Lucy, aka Pandora).
We loved Big Foot George - very clever! There are some awfully talented kids out there.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, and great to see you at the premiere
Thank you, too, for lending us your wonderful DD's for the week, they are indeed a talented lot, a credit to you both.
The young people made some fantastic films this year, with great work on-screen and behind the camera. Eleven films in all, soon to be released on DVD
Keep spreading the word!
Steve
