starnow and castings

Hi we haven't been doing this for long and have only been on starnow for a few weeks but I am a little confused. My dd has a casting, for a job which she has done, but today another casting appeared and we have no idea what it is for. Does this happen very often? Shouldn't we have had a message?

Could you expand a bit more on what you mean by "another casting appeared"? Where did it appear and what did it say?

I'm not sure I'll be able to help as I'm not a member of Starnow, but hopefully someone will be able to.

Hi pg. On each profile page in the top right corner, it tells you how many views an actor has had, how many people have listed them as a favourite and how many castings through starnow they've had. My daughters said that she had one casting, which appeared after she had successfully auditioned for a job. Her page is now saying 2 castings which has left me confused, as though we have applied for a few things we've not done any auditions or had any messages from anyone. Ive put her page link on in case anyone can help solve the mystery. Thanks x

LOL!! Either someone you have applied to has accidently pressed the got the part button instead of maybe putting you on a shortlist, or youve got the part & look out for a message in the future... With StarNow in order for your no of castings to have increased it has to be someone you have applied to that clicks the button...Did you apply to an agency or theatre group, etc at all as these may have clicked to accept & be contacting everyone shortly via a generic E-Mail..

That happened on my dds profile recently. Her Starnow castings went up by one unexpectedly - then a week later it went back down again. I guessed someone had made a mistake.
