When he was younger my ds sang a couple of songs from "Honk" - "Different" and "Now I've seen you" both sung up an octave sound great and show off a good range 8)

There are some nice ones for boys in Billy Elliot like 'The Letter' and 'Electricity'. And there's Oliver and Dodgers songs from Oliver! as well (Consider Yourself, Where is Love?, Who will buy? after the bit with the street sellers etc). and there is 'I just can't wait to be king' from the Lion King. He could even get away with singing other Disney songs (even if it hasn't been put on formally been put on stage- though nowadays there are quite a few that have) as they are often arranged like broadway musicals, if there are any of those he particularly likes (I remember when I was in the school choir at Secondary School we used to sing a lot of Disney songs  ).

And there are also Gavroche's songs from Les Mis - his version of 'Look Down' (the one that goes 'How do you do? My name's Gavroche') and also 'Little People'. Hope these aren't all too obvious suggestions that you already knew about  !

There is also 'Walking in the Air' which is great, especially at this time of year, but is a bit more classical than MT.
