CVs for applying to agents?

Post by nezumi »

Sorry if this is a basic question, I tried to search first.

We're very new to all of this. My 10 year old son has had two professional auditions. He won one part and got through to the final round of the other but was told he was the wrong height (too small).

Anyway he's keen to do more and I've started to look into agents. Many ask for a CV and I was wondering what sort of things would go onto a child's CV? Obviously the part he played, but that's not very much :D Would we be better off looking for an agent after he's done a bit more, or is worth applying now and including things like LAMDA exams, or does that look a bit desperate?

Really pleased this forum exists btw, very educational reading all the posts.

You can look on Starnow, Mandy or Talent Circle for free auditions with basic profiles for your DD to build up experience.

However at that age most agencies will be understanding your DD hasn't starred in a million films so LAMDA exams are fine.

On his CV put his name, age, height, weight, eye and hair colour as well as his acting experience and contact details (of course!)

Hope this helps!

There is a section on the main website (ie not the forums) that gives lots of helpful advice about how to put a CV together and gives an example too. It only needs to be a couple of sides of A4.

Good luck
