Re: Casting Workshops for young people
I have 2 who would go to the under 13 thank you

Re: Casting Workshops for young people
U13s in the midlands please.
Re: Casting Workshops for young people
My son would definitely attend an under 13 workshop.
Re: Casting Workshops for young people
I would definitely attend an over 16 session!

Re: Casting Workshops for young people
Yes, under 13 in Yorkshire (or even more North!!) would be great
what would the minimum age be ?? I also think the feedback idea to the parents is fantastic as Mum of 6 year old I dont exactly get a lot of that - "didnt really do anything, can we go to Macdonalds now, I'm hungry?" is the usual
From a personal opinion I would rather pay a bit more and have less children than a lower price and lots of children tho of course parents with a few children may disagree.

I'm with Panda, Yorkshire and small groups.

Re: Casting Workshops for young people
And to move on further from what Panda said, I'd rather pay a bit more still and have an individual session that really gives us the answers we're always seeking - how do our kids come across; are they doing anything intrinsically wrong and is there anything they can do (in their individual case) to market themselves better

That would be really useful ...especially for the older teenagers I think!Nicola wrote:And to move on further from what Panda said, I'd rather pay a bit more still and have an individual session that really gives us the answers we're always seeking - how do our kids come across; are they doing anything intrinsically wrong and is there anything they can do (in their individual case) to market themselves better

Sessions for those applying for drama schools and music colleges would be very useful to us. We could do with help finding appropriate monologues and someone to work on it with dd. Also interview technique etc.

Hi. A bit new to all of this
The casting workshops sound like a very good idea though.

This is the kind of thing I have done in the past. I know it would be much better if this could be provided by the CD (as they have the specific industry experience of casting many different roles, as opposed to my more limited experience as a director), but if anyone (admin) thinks it might be useful/productive I would be happy to provide an add-on session for individuals if this is likely to take up too much of a CDs time or would be too expensive to ask a CD to do it. I would be happy to discuss it further if it's of any interest to anyone. At the moment I travel fairly frequently between Edinburgh/Manchester/London.Nicola wrote:And to move on further from what Panda said, I'd rather pay a bit more still and have an individual session that really gives us the answers we're always seeking - how do our kids come across; are they doing anything intrinsically wrong and is there anything they can do (in their individual case) to market themselves better
Alternatively/additionally, I'd be happy to do a "thinking of applying to drama school"? type session with audition practice/feedback for a group or as individual sessions - the ideal would be for this to be delivered in a small group I think (between 3 and 8 participants ?).
