Hi
This is my first post so excuse me if you've spoke about this elsewhere and I've just not spotted it.
I just wonder if you can tell me any info regards LEAs and how they issue licences. We have been told by one agency that DD has been successful but they are awaiting the LEA to say if they will issue licences at short notice (i.e. less that 21 days).

Re: Local Authorites & Licences
Hi, I have dealt with Derbyshire council a few times as I do licencing for Sheffield Theatres and we do sometimes have Derbyshire kids, he is quite accomodating if not busy and has on occasion issued licences in less than 21 days but he is now part time or so I was told last week so think that may restrict things.
Seems a shame that agency is going to let their decision hinge on this and not on your dd's talent (which agency is this if you don't mind me asking)..... he may well say no when asked as does not want to encourage them issuing last minute demands but that doesn't mean he wouldn't do them under certain circumstances. I have always found him good to deal with.

Hi cops22
That sounds a little more comforting. Maybe we're just being impatient. We seem to have a couple of agencies that have replied to her application almost immediately and others who are taking ages. I want to make sure we go with the right one from the start rather than the first one who offers if you know what i mean. Its not easy living in Derbyshire and finding auditions etc suitable so want to have good agency to offer that support.
Thanx for replying, i really appreciate it.
