Just wondered if anybody had any success stories from applications to jobs on Kids Call Casting. Once applications are made, where does it go?? Direct to the casting director or through the company that set up KCCP?

They go direct to the Casting Director or the Production Company who posted it. We have had a nice few jobs thru KCCP, not hugely well paid (as even if well paid jobs are posted on KCCP the agents get in there first (which is fair enough, that is their job/livelihood ) but our jobs have been brilliant fun and very good for showreels. The only thing we have found is some of the Prod Co's not to up on licencing laws so it is good if you have everything sorted and can help them out.

We applied for a job recently and it was never viewed I paid the subscription especially for this job as well

We had a day out last week thanks to a kccp job. the posting was only live for a day, for a shoot two days later, so I don't know how any applications they actually got! When we got the email, the day before the shoot, I did phone them specifically to discuss licences, and yep, they seemed a bit vague about them. However since it was for a restricted circulation DVD rather than for "public broadcast" I think, and hope, it fell outside the regulations. She had a great time, spent most of the time playing, and was never out of my sight!

Have put DD forward for several jobs now, many have been viewed but about 50% are not. Would they usually contact your agent if interested and are some of the jobs posted by other agencies looking for new talent!! My DD fits the criteria of all those I have applied for but heard absolutely nothing even after the details have been viewed. Just wondred the success rate from this method.

Have just cancelled our subscription
I noticed alot of the jobs are also posted on Starnow, and we have better success there so will keep starnow.
I have applied for 8 jobs for DS on KCCP but only 3 viewed and not even considered.
It's very expensive for not very much in our case.
Was viewed by an employer 8 times but they never contacted us....
Starnow has given DS some fabulous experiences and some paid well too...

My DD is on both StarNow and KidsCCP since Jan 2012, mostly gets stuff via StarNow though. I have noticed too that some employers view her profile on KidsCCP a lot but then don't contact us or don't even view. That can still be useful knowledge though bcs at least you know who is viewing, you don't get that with StarNow. Sometimes her agent gets stuff before it appears and other times we have applied for jobs only to then get a call from the agent saying she has been requested for4 the same thing we have already applied for.
