hiya
my dd was a fulltimer at SY from yr 6 to yr 11 and loved it....brilliant academics as well as vocational..
She had the honour of being Head Girl in her last year too!

We would definitley say GO FOR IT!
I believe that children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.......

Hello
She commuted as we are only North Herts...train straight to Kings Cross then the tube..she was lucky enough to get a small grant which pretty much covered her fare for the year..

If your DC goes to SY do they have to drop their agent and join theirs? How do they decide in a class of performing 10-11 year old which one to put forward for a casting for a 10-11 year old and do the parents get to know that they have been submitted, had an audition, got a job etc before dc gets round to telling you?

If you are a full timer you have to be in their agency...
I always found that my dd would ring me to say that she had an audition (sometimes she only knew on the day) or the agency would let you know..
I guess they submit anyone who fits the brief then it is up to the casting director as to who he wants to see..pretty much the same with all agencies

Thanks jasmine2, just one more question (sorry), am I right in presuming they chaperone the kids to these auditions (if they are not occuring at the school)?
