I'm struggling to work out where to stay with dd and ds while they do a NYMT 1/2 term workshop in Kingston. Can anyone suggest a cheapish place that has free car parking, up to 45 minutes drive away? I would prefer somewhere handy to a London train line so we can catch a show one night. Oh and ds LOVES a cooked breakfast when he is on holiday. Unlimited sausages preferably.....
Any thoughts anyone PLEASE???
I really shouldn't have left booking everything so late

Wow that was quick. Thanks Katymac. I was poised over the pay button for the Kingston one (not the central one as it didn't have availability for a family room)) when I realised it only had breakfast bags as no cafe, and parking would cost me a fortune at some "Cattlemarket" (?) car park...So amd hoping for something else. Will look at the Chessington one for car parking and breakfasts...

I have booked the Chessington one. The car parking is £5 a day next door, but we are paying £28 a night for the room, AMAZING. The thing with Travelodge breakfasts is that 2 kids can eat free for one adult paying the full rate so ds will be getting his unlimited sausages
I am one very pleased Mum. Thanks Katymac

You won't find any cheap parking in Kingston even cheap all day is £10. One of the reason's I'm at work by 7.30 to get one of the 500 staff spaces in the Bittoms. If you do park in the Cattlemarket beware that there is different charges for underground or on ground level.
Thank you for that warning dadadance. I'm glad I didn't opt for a Kingston Travelodge then I feel for you having to go to work that early just so you can park
Now I'm wondering where best to park for a trip into town to the theatre If you or anyone can suggest a place near the train station it would be really helpful!

I am pretty sure you can get a bus from the Travel Lodge into Kingston, so you can leave your car at the hotel and avoid Kingston car park prices. Double check with the hotel, they will know for sure. When you go to London I would park at Ewell West station, it has a reasonable car park. You can get the train direct to Waterloo from there. If you get a travel card it is about £ 8.50 for an adult and £1 for a child 15 and under. Good Luck.
Thank you Philippa that information is really helpful. The station parking at Ewell West sound ideal, and I will check out the buses from the Travelodge into Kingston. Thank you, thankyou to you and everyone who has been soooo helpful We're all very excited now
