DD's on an Urdang Pre-audition course? I need Techno help

They have asked her to "bring a recording device for the week, either in the form of a Dictaphone or the recording equipment available on many mobile phones"

Her phone won't do this so I either need to buy a new phone or a dictaphone? Does anyone know what would be best?

Are you sure her phone won't record. Even dd's house brick Nokia £15 PAYG records voices.

I looked into buying a dictaphone for something a couple of years ago. they are surptisingly expensive.

to be honest I have no idea if she is.

This week she has done 3-4 lessons at school plus a 45 minute dance class each day; next week we are aiming for 3-4 lessons at school & 2x45 mins.

Whether that will be enough - I really don't know

Its a PRE audition course - tell her that finding oit about monologues etc is what she is paying for

My DD had a dictaphone for about 3 years and found it very useful. However it broke so she now has to use her phone, which isn't as good. But its a very useful thing to have

Yes but she has to prepare a song & a monologue (from a list). The song is well on the way but the monologue she hasn't even chosen yet.

She had a an hour with a drama teacher yesterday.....her first ever (outside of school) & she feels a lot better about it now
