CBBC Monolgue

Post by ruby95 »

I have an audition for a new CBBC show and I need to prepare a monologue.

Female, preferably teenage and preferably funny.

I have dozens of monologues up my sleeve from LAMDA exams but most of them are Brecht or Checkhov or Shakespeare and so not really appropriate :?

Does anyone have any suggestions or any advice about the exact kind of thing I should be looking for? I know it shouldn't be Shakespeare but I don't really know what type of thing it should be.....?

Maybe something from Henna Night by Amy Rosenthal? I think there are some great pieces in there.

What about something from some of Jacqueline Wilson's 'older' books?
