Is talent circle a legit website?

Post by Hippieflowers »

I have seen this website with lots of auditions, but don't want to create an account and add my details... before knowing its not dodgy!

I like it, it is mainly for unpaid/student job and quite often contains the same ads that are in maddy. I found it very user friendly and it is free. Got a short film for my ds from there.

It isn't dodgy...but i'm not sure how the posts on there are monitored as such. However, there are no joining fees and it's always worth applying for the experiences. I also got my first short film experience from TalentCircle :)

I think xebonykissesx point is really important.

Sites like Mandy and Starnow and Talent Circle tend not to be moderated or monitored very closely. It's up to anyone applying to use their common sense and do some research in to the opportunities you see. There will be genuine opportunities and there will be charlatans. View it all with a cynical eye and consider what you want out of it. If something doesn't seem quite right then ask some searching questions and remember that anyone can claim to be anyone and have connections to anyone on the internet!
