Hi Showtunes, DS had an audition at Mountview a couple of weeks back that started at 10 30, he wasn't recalled and left around 2pm, don't know how much longer it would have been if he had been recalled to the afternoon recall though.
Sorry your DD wasn't overly impressed with the GSA audition, you never can tell though, so don't give up hope, I know what you mean, I take it a lot harder than DS with disappointments, he just seems to take it in his stride. We still haven't got our date for GSA Cardiff audition, although I did ring yesterday and said they would be setting a date very soon. He has his recall at Manchester Met tomorrow so travelling up this evening and Drama Centre on Wednesday.
Fingers crossed for everyone!!

It starts at 10.30 but no idea of a approx finishing time. Just looking at train times and as the audition is over the Easter hols the prices are horrendous!
Depends entirely on whether she is recalled for the afternoon. They do a cut at lunchtime & if its anything like when my DD went last year it will be a BIG cut! 400 on her day & only 7 recalled for the afternoon....and not one of them were offered a place...! Yes - its really tough out there!
And all that jazz...!

Good luck for your DD for Man Met tomorrow! DD loved it there and was gutted not to get a recall ... she was especially impressed by the fact that the students often get cast in supporting roles at the Royal Exchange during training!

Good luck for the audition:)
Not sure on numbers for manchester yet but chichester take only 30 mt students on the triple threat course.

DD in 1st year at The Arden. Have asked her a few questions for you :D Remember she came out of audition last year very positive, audition lasted about 6 hours & took part in ballet, jazz, acting workshops then solo songs & 2 contrasting monologues. Staff really friendly. 30 students accepted, there are 2 groups of 14 at moment. Musical Theatre course 30 hrs study a week. Hope this helps. Good Luck to everyone in auditions \:D/

Dd had her mountview audition a week Tuesday ago and her Urdang audition this Monday gone. She was disappointed to get a no from urdang but it is very dance based and there were lot of exceptional auditionees there. she did however get an offer from mountview so she is over the moon. 136 there and they cut to 20 which is a lot when I saw a post on here recently saying theycuttoseven. Some of the other gas foundation kids also had offers so they to are happy. She just has gas and central now but I think she is more relaxed having 2 good offers to pick from. Good luck to all on here who are auditioning/waiting for their kids to get their answers.

Congratulations to your dd Wolfie, that's great news :D Thanks Saphire and Showtunes for your good wishes. DS really enjoyed his recall at Manchester Met and felt quite positive when he came out, will hear in 10-12 days-I hate all this waiting!! Whatever happens, DS has been very impressed with the audition system at Manchester Met and has learnt from it, shame that all schools can't be the same. He hasn't heard yet from Rose Bruford, but his friend he went up with heard on Friday he has a recall , so don't know if that's not such good news for ds, they either get an email from the school to say they have a recall or an unsuccessful on UCAS track.

Fingers and toes crossed you get an offer from Manchester Met. Yes I totally agree,it's a shame all schools don't hold decent long audtions days for the students. Feel rather fed up with GSA,pay all that money and travel costs for 45 mins, and only 5 mins of that is of the individual singing. The rest of the time is listening to others in our group. Everywhere else has given my dd a good chance of showing her talents off. At least you feel you get something with your money!

Do you know which course it was for at Rose Bruford?

Thank you

Hi everyone

Just a heads up for anyone who has used up all their ucas choices and has now heard back from all the places with answers. You can now apply for more uni choices. If you go on your online track the option is there.

Good luck to anyone still waiting.

Yes it's quite annoying how you need all 4 answers before you can apply. My dd knows someone's who went to GSA last friday too and has heard back today so thinks she will get an answer soon.
