Re: Top Talent Agency
Good luck to everyone going for headshots with Top Talent tomorrow - here's to lots of great castings and great jobs for you!
Pandy was due to go along to get her headshots refreshed, but she has made a big decision - she is retiring from performing (age
to concentrate on making her own films. We'll miss Warren and the team, so please give them our love when you see them.
Meanwhile, please wish me luck in my new 'career' as a film producer for my DD's yet to be established film making enterprise.
Total budget about £1.78.
Who'd have thought....

Re: Top Talent Agency
Well done to Pandy - a good career choice I think - look forward to seeing some of her first movies posted on here and telling everyone where she first started when she gets her best director oscar

Re: Top Talent Agency
Thanks for your kind comments.
Coincidentally, a film that Flo and Pandy were involved in at an Act2Cam film camp last Easter has just been posted onto You Tube. Here it is:

If anyone's DCs are interested in film making, I'd thoroughly recommend Act2Cam. Steve Woods who is the man behind it all posts on here from time to time so if you want to know more just search Act2Cam.
Esmum - of course! But I wouldn't hold your breath, we don't even have a script yet. And I'm pretty certain our camera isn't up to the task. But there's certainly no shortage of ambition

Re: Top Talent Agency
In our experience they like to meet at least once a year, at workshops in London or Herts. This is a good idea as kids can change so much in that time and their experience and abilities change too.

Re: Top Talent Agency
It's worth catching up with them on Facebook. You'll find out about the audition schedule and it will give you a good idea of the castings and jobs they get for their kids, which will help you to decide whether they are right for you.
Good luck

Re: Top Talent Agency
hii would you be able to pm me in more detail please?:)Flosmom wrote:Just for the record, Top Talent didn't charge me any up front fees. I was asked to pay for a spotlight entry and provide photos, for which they set up an optional photoshoot with a photographer they recommended. The cost of the photoshoot wasn't particularly expensive. There is no fee for inclusion on their website.
So, while the debate about upfront fees etc is everso helpful, I think it's important that visitors to this forum understand that, as far as I am aware, Top Talent are not guilty of the bad practices that are explained here.
Warren works very hard for his clients. If anyone is thinking of joining Top Talent I'm happy to share my experience in more detail via PM, but in general I would recommend them, especially if you are interested in castings for commercials and TV.
Hope this is helpful

Re: Top Talent Agency
Just wading into the Top Talent discussion here as both my ds and dd are both with TT and have been for a couple of years and I am so happy with them! Warren and the others work really hard for their clients and they send children on auditions constantly. They only charge a small fee for photos to be taken and the admin of maintaining the site. All agencies do the same in my experience: it is standard practice. My ds currently in Sound of Music at Regents Park and was in Ragtime last year - almost as soon as he joined the agency he got the first show. My ds was in Les Mis as soon as she joined and has done loads of things since including Eastenders, Call the Midwife, commercials etc. They have both been put up for everything they were suited to. TT don't take on children that they don't believe they can get work for. Oh, and there are loads of kids on their books who don't go to their weekend stage school. And they have turned down kids from the weekend classes who have auditioned and not quite made the grade. Awkward! Their next auditions are in August at The Forum in Herts on 18th and The Dominion theatre London on 20th, They are also running auditions this year in Manchester - which is a first for them - on 24 August. You have to email them to book onto an audition. Hope that all helps! Sorry it's sooo long!
