Hi,
I'm a 16y old girl and have recently applied to Curtis Brown, having no professional experience (though, stating all the amateur shows and drama productions I have taken part in) and not really expecting anything of it. They then contacted me saying they would be interested in meeting me and so now I have a meeting with them in a couple of weeks. I'm just wondering (as I have never met with an agency before) if anyone has any advice. I asked them whether I should bring or prepare anything (thinking of perhaps bringing a head shot and preparing a monologue or something) but they said no, it would just be an informal chat. If anyone has any advice or experience they want to share that would be really helpful, thanks. And also, do you think I should bring a CV and head shot and prepare a piece anyway, just in case? Thank you!

Hi,
Ds had a meeting with them about 4 yrs ago. He had been in a guest role in a BBC comedy when he was 14 so we had some footage. He also saw a few other agents at the time (he already had an agent but wanted to change). They were interested in him and especially in the fact that he had done NYT and NYMT, but were not in a hurry to make a decision so ds went with a different agent.

Well done for getting a reply, that's great
Good luck with the meeting and do let us know how you get on!
Can I ask, did you send professional photos/headshots when you applied or just photos taken at home?

Re: Curtis Brown
I sent just a photo I'd taken at home - nothing professional
And thank you!

Hi Muirenn, that's great news!!!
can i ask did you submit your details to one agent in particular or did you just send it to the agency for it to be circulated? (i'm curious whether it is better to approach a particular person when applying to big agencies or whether it doesn't matter)
all the best
