Ok thank you very much! I am planning to get a showreel put together just of my performances and maybe recording a monologue as well.
Riverdancefan do you mind me asking whether your dd is with an agency and which one? But I agree its about enjoying it at a young age. I go to the SYTS on saturdays and have been in various acting experiences so think I am to the point where my training and experiences can be considered?
Another Agency Question......sorry :)

One that is often written off as "just" a modeling agency, however he has had some great acting opportunities and castings, down to the final 2 for an amazing singing job with the BEST feedback from as CD ever

Also don't forget the opportunity is always there as an extra to be plucked out of the crowd and given dialogue, it has happened to friends of ours, then you are a featured actor with the pay and credit that goes along with it.
Always consider carefully turning something down, there might not be anything else coming along for a while....

I know a few Mums with children in the SY agency, and they are submitting and are there at all the commercial and modeling castings along with the rest of us, they are not fussy either it seems

Wow that sounds amazing, and great experience to have whatever! Yes I did some extra work on Waterloo Road and was great to see how it all worked no matter what! It is also down to luck I guess as well, as I was put forward for the main part in the upcoming film 'maleficent' but no surprise when Elle Fanning is playing that part, but just shows how you can be given these massive opportunities!
I got asked to audition for the SYTS agency and had amazing feedback, however they regretfully couldn't offer me a place as they had just had the new full time people, which was sad for me but also them as they said its hard to let go the talent they saw in my audition, but I have had opportunities nevertheless so am happy.
The modelling agencies can be just as good, does anyone know any good ones that also do acting like you said your son has or which one he is with? I have done some photoshoots and have been considered for that side of industry but love performing more.
Thankyou all for your help!!

Following on from lilacspanishmum's comment, I spoke to the lady at Platform Talent Management a couple of days ago. She was lovely and happy to answer any questions I had. I really was very very impressed. They are on twitter so have a browse there as well as the tweets are very positive too. I would recommend giving them a tinkle and by all means pm me.!Morgansmum wrote: I just feel like its knock back after knock back, I need some advice as to whether I do need to maybe sign with an Agency and pay or hold out for the one that gives her a chance??
Good luck. I'm in the process of researching agencies for my DS.

When we fIrst started looking for agents in London for DC (7 years ago now), I remember being told time and again that they wanted raw talent, not stage school trained kids (yep, all the jazz hands, teeth etc). Is it still the same now?

Hi,
Ive not read through all the replies that people have put yet, but I do see on starnow at the moment that a few agencies are advertising. These are Bonnie & Betty, Daisy & Dukes, Chilli Kids, Top Talent Agency, Creative Kidz & Co, and Purple Rock.
I see you have applied to lots and you are getting no's. Is there any way of phoning one or two of them up and saying you understand its a no at the moment, but is there anything you can add or change that they feel will help you get a yes in different agencies?
We can only learn from asking these people.
Just a suggestion.
I haven't had any experience with any of the ones I've listed.
Best of luck, and perseverance always pays off in the end.
