Hi
I booked a job ....one day of filming, with a new cd i had never met before that audition, i was thinking of sending a thank you card, is this normal/should i just leave it . thank you
There's no harm at all in doing this, providing you keep it short and sweet and only use it to say thank you and that you enjoyed yourself. Don't attach a CV or photo or anything like that. As long as it doesn't look like a plea for more work, I would imagine they would be more than happy to receive it.
There is a slight danger of overkill here I think - but I would imagine the reaction is more likely to be "that's nice" rather than "desperate blooming actors".
Personally, I would only send a thank you like this where I knew that the CD had singled me out having been to see me in something for example. In other words, if I felt that the CD had pushed to get me seen. If it was just a case of having been picked from hundreds of submissions, I don't think I would bother, I would worry that it would look a bit "look at me", if you know what I mean.
