Sorry you're struggling with your list. Is there anything that those of us that went through the applications for MT for this Septembers entry can help with? The whole process is still very fresh in my mind.
Happy to help if can

Yes, both dds have their lists.
Elder dd: GSA; Chichester; Scotland Conservatoire; GAMTA; Blackpool; Arden (all MT through degree route).
Younger dd: Central School of Ballet; Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance; English National Ballet School; Elmhurst School of Dance; Scotland Conservatoire; Ballet West; Overseas - Germany; Hungary; Portugal.
If unsuccessful, both girls will go to our local Dance College (full time) and gain their DDI Teacher training certificates plus take daily dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Contemporary Dance; Musical Theatre; Singing and Acting exams etc.
Sorry Katymac that we can't help either. We've had friends audition for Bird and Laines but don't know much about either personally except they are more dance based MT and my elder dd wants to do more singing/acting MT (her dance level isn't high enough for dance colleges).

Re: So much has changed & so much is the same
If we go for what she wants it's 11 auditions (3 level 3 and 8 level 6)
Ireally feel that is too many (time off school, prep, stress, cost) but I don't know how to reduce them:
Urdang
Bird
Laine
Millenium
Masters
Bodyworks
Performers
Italia Conti
Then Arts Ed, Brit & Reynolds
But this has halved our origional number & regret some rejects

Jaylou your dd2 is doing 9 (if I counted right) - & My dd is even more than that
Re: So much has changed & so much is the same
Still a bit TOO fresh in my mind Jessnat lol.
We have just sorted out accommodation, dd is performing in Footloose at Milton Keynes theatre at the end of August then she is off. I keep looking at the state of her room and bathroom and biting my tongue!
Katymac, my advice is just to go for it, nothing worse than regretting it later! Its going to be a difficult stressful year (or two like us!)and you are going to need alcohol to get through it! Lol (you might not, I certainly did).

Re: So much has changed & so much is the same
Really? How many did yours do?
11 seems ridiculous
Alcohol - I could consider it as a recreational sport.....but it doesn't agree with me (& neither does chocolate - so I eats those silly shrimps & bananas)

Ha ha distant memories!
My dd did,
Millennium
Performers
Stella Mann
MADD
Urdang
Italia Conti
Bodyworks
Urdang
Bird
Laine
Over 2 years (thats why we're poor!)
Bird and Urdang both years but had a free 2nd audition at both!
I wanted dd to do Arts Ed but she wasn't brave enough because they said you had to be a very strong singer. After 3 DaDA offers she now regrets this decision BUT would have only ever picked Laines anyway!
You also have to think of the cost of holding places too. It is now at the colleges discretion but Italia Conti still charge £250 to hold your place whilst they decide if you will be awarded a DaDA!

3 year diploma level 6. The colleges take them from 16. Although my dd is 19 and only just ready to leave home! (Well I hope she is cause she's going lol)

Re: So much has changed & so much is the same
Almost 2 years ago DD auditioned at Bird, Urdang, Laines (level 6) Masters (not sure about their diploma) and Brit School (level 3). We had to pay about £75 each (I think?) to hold places at Urdang and Laines.....Masters don't have a funding audition because they don't offer DaDA awards (but do offer scholarships and sponsorship)...and Bird only hold one audition for places and funding so thankfully we didn't have that additional expense....
DD's teacher had warned her that she might feel very young and small in the auditions (she only turned 15 during the summer before she auditioned and she is very petite) but actually she said she didn't worry about it at all.....she was far too focussed on the audition itself (I don't think they have time to worry about it)!!

Re: So much has changed & so much is the same
You see that is half as many and a much more manageable number
