The only way you can be certain with commercials is when you see the commercial on TV - and you're not in it.

Usually (in my limited experience) actors hear "yes" or "maybe" (the dreaded pencil) very quickly for commercials and they never hear "no". However, I have had recalls for commercials long after I had given up on them (up to 10 days later) - so 2 days is not definitely a "no".

Not very helpful, sorry!

OK, call me Mrs Cynical, but we always assume a no unless we hear a yes. Statistically a no is a more likely outcome, so we forget about the audition as soon as its done and don't waste energy waiting to hear. Then if we do get a yes it's a bonus.

Hope this helps...though probably not.

And a 'yes' can come anything between immediately and several months (our record is about a year...then lots of repeat work from one casting ) but for commercials it's usually sooner rather than later.

This is DDs approach too ... she comes out, does a quick post mortem, what went well, anything she could have done better and then forgets about it. I wish I could do the same :D

And the time to hear really is a piece of string, we've had bookings on our way home and recalls after 3 weeks so who knows!

Good luck and do let us know if you DO hear anything [-o< [-o< [-o<
