Audition advice

Post by mogs »

Hi. I was looking for some advice on a song for an audition for Italis Contis. My ds will have to perform 3 dances, 2 monologues and a song. His singing is probably his strength and he has a big 'Belty' voice. Do we go for a big song to show off his voice or shall we stick to a 'performing' song? His monologues will show his performing but will they want to see a perfomance through song as well? The ones that we are thinking of do not really show off his voice as much as we would like to. Aaargh! Please help

Hi
Are you familiar with "Corner of the Sky" from Pippin? There's quite a lot of range in it,very melodic, and some semi-belty bits in it.Check out William Katt on youtube!

Ooh. I love it. It's a perfect mix of performance and showing off his voice. Thank you =D>
