How to know when a commercial is out?

I filmed a commercial during the summer and was told it probably be on TV at some point in October. I haven't done a commercial since I was much younger and so cannot remember what the standard protocol is. Will the production company inform my agent when the commercial is out or will I have to look out for it myself?

I would ask your agent to check with the production company. It's also worth checking on-line on the product's website: they often publicise when there's a new campaign happening - sometimes they even have the ad on the website.
