The 3yr level 6 Diploma
She is too young for the degree & we can't afford the foundation and sadly if she goes to college locally she would still have to spend hours at dance class every night which would stuff up Alevels so fingers crossed that she gets a DADA (& that they don't change the rules again next year)

Re: Application forms
I wonder how the new rules regarding having to stay in education until 17 will affect this years intake.
According to the rules if children don't manage to pass English or Maths at gcse grade c they have to study it for a further year.
I cannot see the vocational colleges being able to teach E and M alongside their current timetable, especially for very few children.
I know of a child that already has an apprenticeship lined up but is only predicted a D in maths, so if she doesn't get the magic C will be unable to take it up as she will have to stay on at school

Re: Application forms

Re: Application forms
And one very poor mother..............these things are expensive!
Re: Application forms
I guess so um I think 8x£35 plus £75 but I'll have to check my cheque book (I wonder if I forgot any)
£355 - she'd better be worth it <faints>

OMG £75 audition fee for Arts Ed! Their BA degree and level 6 diploma audition fee is only £35.
All new to me!
Re: Application forms

Re: Application forms
Just completed Central and Elmhurst. ENB is done but need dd's dance teacher's signature before we can send it off. Just Scotland Conservatoire now and DVDs to film
Older dd is waiting for college to okay her Personal Statement then her applications can go off.
Can't wait for this year to be over although there are a number of things to look forward to as well....younger dd is dancing at Hobbs Fashion show in December...though at £75 at ticket we're not attending!; Cinderella in Stockport and Weston-Super-Mare - rehearsals are going well and younger dd had a great day at ENB studios rehearsing; older dd is rehearsing for her Christmas show with her theatre group and is performing at Bristol Hippodrome again next year; ds has started practicing for next years competitions
Katymac, hope your daughter does well....not easy all this, is it?!

Re: Application forms
That all sounds very busy; I'm not sure how I'd cope with more than one tbh
Re: Application forms
Have you thought about looking at "Home" from the Wiz? Great song.
Re: Application forms
We think we have decided on 3 of our songs (we might need a 4th), possibly our Shakespeare monologue but we need a contemporary one (maybe tomorrow)
We have another date through:
17th Nov Audition
29th Nov Audition
7th Dec Audition
8th Dec Grade 6
9th Dec Audition
10th Dec Audition
& we aren't sure if we should postpone the one on the 17th as it's her favourite; & I'd hoped for a bit of practise before that one!
What does "sheet music pages attached together in a folder" mean - we do the ziggyzaggy thingie
& I think Christmas might be an anti-climax after this
