Hi,

Elder dd has 2 auditions this month for MT....Blackpool on 22nd and LIPA on 26th.
Younger dd has 3 auditions this month for ballet....Elmhurst on 16th; Northern Ballet School on 22nd; ENBS on 25th.

Busy month plus elder dd has her dance show the weekend of 18th and 19th and younger dd has ballet rehearsals every weekend from now up until the performance of 'Cinderella' in Stockport with Elena Glurdidje as Cinderella in February (16th). Dd's a step sister :D

Good luck with those Jaylou. Busy days ahead. :D
Is your daughter applying for the 1 year MT at LIPA or have they introduced a 3 year now?

No, it's the 3 year BA (Hons) Acting course at LIPA that dd1 is applying for - the only acting course she's applying for. She's also applied to Scotland Conservatoire, GSA and Chichester (all MT courses) but not heard from them yet.

JayLou ... DD is in her second year on the BA Acting Course at LIPA and loves it BUT they have really changed the content of the Acting course this year ... much less dance and MT and much more straight acting ... the second years have fought to have dance and MT workshops but future students won't get these and some students have dropped out from first year as they didn't feel it was the course they auditioned for. DD says if your DD really wants an MT course then LIPA is really not the right place for her!

Thanks Sapphire. To be honest dd1's strengths lie more in acting/singing - although she does ballet, tap and modern she has only ever done 1 exam and now does adult classes (she has only just gone on pointe at 18!). Her singing teacher trained at LIPA and loved it and I think dd1 would prefer to go somewhere where graduates' prospects are good plus also trying an acting course as well as MT courses to broaden her experience (although dd1's prefered choice is Chichester at the moment).

Ah, so our dds have Royal Scot and GSA in common. My DD found an email from GSA in her junk folder yesterday so tell your daughter to be careful!

We went to LIPA to see Spring Awakening a couple of years ago. It was fab!

Ah, thanks. Where is your dd planning on doing her GSA audition? Dd1 has applied for Cardiff.
Might see you at Scotland Conservatoire auditions :)

She is at PPA at the moment in Guildford so she will audition there.
I will hopefully meet her in Glasgow for RCS audition. It would be great to meet you if they are seen on the same day.

Hi all, I haven't been a regular on NAPM for years so am feeling a bit shy! My DS is 23 and auditioning for RADA (no date yet) and Bristol (14 Feb). I'm a bit pessimistic and will be pleasantly surprised if he gets in! He's worked for a few years in TV but wants a stage training ..... just thought I'd post for moral support!

Good luck to your DD Katymac and everyone waiting for audition results. Notaluvvie, my DS has his audition for RADA next Wednesday and is waiting on his date from Bristol Old Vic, he also has Manchester Met this Friday and Oxford on Monday and 7 more in the next 2 months, so a very busy and expensive time!! Second year for him so fingers crossed.

Good luck to everyone auditioning :)

Italia Conti - It's a very complex audition (I think)

Song, song & dance, dance for performance, dance for technique & 2 monologues <gulp>
