The best thing you can do is put your feet up for a couple of hours and work your way through all the threads in this forum. There are lots of discussions about agencies and lots of real-life experiences shared by NAPMs as their DCs have been through the process of applying for representation. You can't beat it or getting a feel for what is possible, and the good, bad and ugly of the agency world.
When you've done that, if you have any unanswered questions, just post them here and I'm sure someone will do their bet to help you.
And don't forget to let us know what you decide to do and how you get on.
