Thanks everyone :)
Don't read too much into it MegMar, they seemed to want a decision about which course DD would prefer, hence the phone call rather than an email notification. They also said she had scored very highly and hers was the first degree offer being made, so there is still lots of time.

When DD auditioned at Bird another girl was offered a place on the day. DD interpreted that as a bad sign that they didn't want her but she got her place a week later.

Fingers crossed x

Thanks I will try not. She is not expecting to much so don't think she will be to surprised if it's a no for the dada. She loves Urdang but she likes all the ones that she has got into she just has to make a decision ](*,)

She was offered Foundation at Urdang and BTEC at Conti Guildford where she currently trains - those were her only auditions - would have done Urdang Foundation if not got Laine offer but was also really keen on Bird although decided not to audition there this year. Does your dd have any preference?

So hard to decide based on the brief audition experiences... All the Move It videos are good...

Katymac are you still awaiting Dada decisions from Conti and Millenium? Any idea when they will let you know - am I correct in thinking they don't do recalls? :)

Wow Carriecrafts your DD must be amazing to have those great offers. My DD was at the recall at Urdang on Friday as well. She said the standard was amazing!! So she's not really expecting anything. Although they've all got in haven't they? The recall was to sort out the funding and who could do the degree etc. DD said it's an amazing school. Did anybody else know that John Bishop, the comedian's son was there auditioning?

DD also had a recall at GSA on Saturday which went very well. Just the wait now.

Yes Katymac it will be so nice when we all know what we are doing :?

What group was your dd in bop2thetop on Friday? I didn't know about john bishops son, wouldn't think he would qualify fir a dada!! Is Urdang her favourite?

She was in group 1 Megmar. Her 1st choice is GSA but both schools are amazing :)

Hi, please can I ask those of your with multiple offers have you had to pay a holding fee for your place at each college awaiting DADA decisions etc and if you don't take up the place will you lose it? We are due to audition for Sept 15 and are tempted to audition early rather than later but know she would need to wait til April for funding decisions. If she got offers I was hoping not to be too much out of pocket on losing place holding fees. Thanks.

Hi Mummyaud,
Laine offer places after the first audition, they only charge a holding fee if you state that you want the place even without a DaDA - if you state that you can only accept the place with a DaDA then there is no holding fee or charge for the funding audition which takes place in April.

Urdang was the same, no holding fee or DaDA audition fee, but if you want to be considered for the degree bursary (£3000) then there is a £75 recall audition fee.

I don't know any up to date info for other schools as DD applied for degrees everywhere else.
Hope this helps

No recalls (as far as I am aware) & mid-Mayfor decisions

We all seem to be on the edge of our seats right now - it's so scary
