Hi Everyone, is it just me, or are you all feeling desparately impatient... waiting to hear whether your DD's and DS's will be offered a funded place or not? DD has almost finished her auditions, 4 offers, waiting on one audition result and (2 more colleges to audition at). Very grateful for the offers DD has had, but without funding, it just won't happen

Wow well done to your dd katkit. Where has she got the offers from so far? I thought all the auditions were over now and it was just the recall ones left. Has your dd got a favourite, my dd can not make a decision at the moment but will need to soon as colleges are starting to ask for money

We too are desperately waiting for funding and it makes me so sad that my daughter cannot go to dance college without it. It's such a long waiting game, despite receiving offers of places. My DD really needs the degree place at Urdang but, seeing she is on the waiting list, who knows how long it is?! We still have the funding audition at Laine to attend and another 4 auditions to do. I never realised it would be such a stressful process :-(( x

Hi Megmar -thank you for your kind words, she had offers from Millennium, Performers, Cambridge Body Works and The Centre, and awaiting outcome of Laine audition - although it sounds really great, without funding we can't accept any of these offers. She auditions at Urdang in later May (she had an earlier date but was ill and this was the only remaining date they could give her). Strangely she doesn't have a favorite and really enjoyed all 4 audition experiences at the colleges who offered a place. She did audition to The London Studio and didn't get through, but she did come away from the day saying it wasn't for her. I'm waiting for her to say 'such and such is THE one'. I think she is remaining open and hopeful that the 'right one' will be the one who offers her some assistance.

Ellis951, I know! Good luck and well done for your DD's success this far. It is beyond description what the wait is like!

For what it is worth, I looked back to last years posts and see that people should start to know where they stand by about the first week in May

From memory dd got her 1st offer of DaDA from Bodyworks first week of May last year. Laines 9th May (this date is imprinted in my mind) and Conti around the 17th May.

It was agony waiting, and I didnt sleep well till the first one came, we actually cried with relief. It was more stressful for dd as she knew if it didnt happen it was time to give up and she was extremely bad tempered!

Thank you Megmar and katkit. Funnily enough my dd also auditioned at london studios but she declined the recall as we both felt it wasnt right for her. Has anyone auditioned at Masters? We still have that one left to do x

Does anyone know when millenium start issuing dada letters, I know 7 girls who have auditioned there this year and have been offered places, am worried if they have just accepted everyone. Has anyones dd or ds auditioned and been turned down.

I dunno - DD was asked to audition a while back

They only have 45 places - & there have been a fair few audition dates

I understood they start doing DaDAs in May

Yes just think it strange that all the girls I know have been offered places not any were turned down. Wish they could let us know sooner, I do not think any of the girls I know are intending to go there even though they are holding places.
