KCCP

Post by aspiringactressx »

Hi,

So I join KCCP on and off every few months, only really when I see a job I think I'd really be suitable for as I find it quite a lot of money otherwise. Anyway, I find that when I apply for things hardly any of my applications even get viewed, even if I am sure I suit the brief exactly! However, I recently got a call asking me to come to an audition for a short film and when I went on KCCP to look back at the brief I saw that my application still hadn't even been viewed - so I'm wondering how KCCP actually works, and whether they can see a section of your application without it being marked as viewed on the users dashboards?

Not really a question I know, just curious as to how KCCP works in relation to applications being viewed and why the employers never even view half my applications?! :)

Also, anyone that uses KCCP, do you ever get any work from it? I've used it on and off for about 5 months now and never even had one job so I'm curious to know how much work people get from it?

Hi,
I sometimes look at the site but have never joined. You can follow them on twitter and facebook. Then you can ask them directly.
Facebook page is called Kids Casting Call Pro and Twitter page is called @Kidsccp
Hope this helps

If you look on 'my profile views' it doesn't always show up if your profile has been viewed by those posting a casting call, but if you look at your application itself (on the same drop down as jobs) you can check if your application has been viewed. If you click on 'My Applications' then click on the application for the job you are talking about and scroll down to the bottom of the page you come to 'Your application is shown below'.
We applied for a job yesterday this is what it said:

Date 31/03/14 18:27 (the date and time you applied)

Cover Letter (copy of application letter)

Attached File (in our case : Application has attached file CV)

Picture Submitted (picture we chose to best portray dds suitability to role)

then underneath this, it says:

Application Status viewed 31/03/14 18:34

I always look at both the profile views and the application because sometimes it appears on one and not the other.

DD has had several jobs through KCCP

Yes ds has had a few paid jobs from there filmed 2 adverts at the same time got paid £1400 so there are good paid jobs on there but a lot are very low paid jobs. Another thing you see things advertised on there a being paid then see it on other sites as non paid which I find annoying as if they have the money to pay on KCCP should pay no matter where they advertise.

I found out from a CD last week that there is not an option for no pay on KCCP, like there is on Star Now, the lowest option is £50. That is why the same ad can appear on both sites and one is paid (if you can call £50 paid) and the other isn't.

Interesting to hear you've had lots of jobs from KCCP, I rarely see a job a month that suits me and if it does my application is hardly ever viewed!!

THen and again I've found Starnow to be brilliant and have had some great paid and non-paid jobs through that wheras a lot of people don't like using SN. Oh well, I guess it just depends!

Hi
My daughter is on kccp. So far we haven't had any jobs yet, but we have had a couple of auditions . We have also had two auditions for student films that were not advertised but the students approached us via the view profile pages and then messaged us to go for an audition. Sometimes an employer views your profile but not via the application link, so it doesn't show up. We have had this happen a lot. If the employer is registered AND logged in then it will show up on the views page but if they are not logged in it would only show as an annonomous user. Hope this helps

Hi all, does anyone know whether there is an option to have a non-public profile on KCCP, as there is on Starnow, so that only advertisers you actually apply to get to see it? We've had a couple of good things through Starnow and KCCP looks really useful, but we don't feel ready to have a public profile just yet. Thanks!
