How long after an audition does it take?

Post by Katygalloway »

Hi

Yesterday, I had an audition for a CBBC show in Manchester, I have never done any BBC auditions before and I was just wondering if anyone knew how long, on average it takes before you find out if you got the part or not?

Well done for getting the audition, but In my experience you often don't hear at all unless it's a yes, so the best thing you can do is try to put it out of your mind. Hard to do, I know. Also, even if you do hear, there's no rule - it can be hours or months, though somewhere between those two extremes is more usual.

Good luck. Hope you hear something soon. They don't always let you know: that can be frustrating and sometimes you can hear nothing for a while and then hear. However, my experience of CBBC with my ds and dd is that if it is yes you will hear within the next week or so. It just depends on the casting director and the project they are doing.

Well done for at least getting an audition.

Sometimes you hear within a few days, and sometimes you never hear anything ever again - very frustrating.....but that's the magical world of showbiz.

Hope BBC are at least a bit more organised.

Keeping everything crossed for you.
