No problem Lorry. DD has just had an offer for the Musical Theatre degree at London College of Music, so very pleased that she is definitely going to drama school! (as long as no A level disasters!) A few more auditions to go but good news so far and a huge relief !
Thanks Lorry. It's a great relief to get an offer, and especially a degree course so no funding issues (apart from London accommodation costs!). DD was surprised how much she enjoyed the audition and liked the place, as another friend didn't like it at all. I think it was a good fit for my DD. No dance, and tests for musicality. It was pretty much as it says on the audition email, with the addition of a musical theatre quiz/test to see their composers/lyricists/show knowledge. Word of warning that DDs audition overran, as did her friends, and the journey back to Kings Cross took her longer than expected. Only avoided buying new train ticket as her train was cancelled due to bad weather meaning she could take another. Could have been a costly error!
Hi, I'm new to posting in forums, but my DS is in the process of auditioning for September. He has had several first round ones and has some offers/recalls. He has London Studio Centre tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone knows why they talk about different recalls for ballet, jazz, contemporary and musical theatre on their website? Does it depend on what they are applying for or do they recall them for things that they are not so good at?
Good luck to your DD Katymac, late auditions sound like a sensible way to make the very most of her foundation course. I remember Amanda's DD did the same last year and it worked
Hoping Millennium managed to get her application this time, after the Xmas post shenanigans!
