Hi everyone
I have been following everyone's progress for a while and have learned a lot! Thanks to all .My DD is on the Urdang Foundation course and having a great time. She has just started auditions again for September 2015. She has just been offered a place on Cambridge Bodyworks 3 year diploma course. Great news! However she needs some funding and has been asked to go to Dada audition on 16th or 17th April. Here's the dilemma. The Urdang Foundation end of year dress rehearsal and show are on those exact days. My DD says the show will contribute to Urdangs audition process for Urdang 3 year course and she daren't miss it. Urdang is her top choice of college. What on earth should she do? Would appreciate anyone's thoughts.

How exciting Recless! & how scary! I'm sorry I have no idea but good luck

Millennium want an answer by 9th March - what happens if we accept the place & then change our minds - will they charge us a terms fees (like a private school)

Exact same thing happened to Dd two years ago. My dd was also on Urdang foundation. Urdang understood and didn't stop her from going but Bodyworks were contacted and told and they whizzed them (there were 3 of them) through audition. I think they were back on the train to London by 1pm!

Thanks Katymac. Yes very scary. Concerning the fees question, I think if you change your mind after paying deposit you will lose your deposit but you won't have to pay a terms fees. However at some point in the summer your college will ask for the 1st terms fees in advance and they would be very unlikely to refund the fees if you have a late offer from another school which you prefer. It is all very complicated isn't it?

Thanks, yes she enjoyed the audition day and thinks a smaller school may suit her but she still has a few more auditions to do. It would be lovely to have a choice but she is excited to get her 1st offer.

DD has been offered a place at Bird with 'reserve list' funding

What does that mean?

That means funding has been offered to others and if they drop out and don't use the funding for whatever reason, your DD moves up the list to get that funding :D

Brilliant news Katymac, we had the same letter for Birds and I was told that not all funding is allocated until after all auditions have finished so people on reserve list could move up once all auditions are complete!!
Bring it on!!!

Brilliant news Katymac! How long did you have to wait to hear from Bird? My DD auditions there on Wednesday. She is at LSC today.
