London weekend training / pro workshops - Forecast Academy

Post by Forecast Academy »

Hi,

My name is Oliver.

I co-own a Saturday performing arts school called Forecast Academy in Clapham, South London http://www.forecastacademy.co.uk

In addition to weekly classes in acting, dance & vocal studies, run by industry professionals, we operate a workshop model whereby an ever-growing cohort of leading professionals across the performing arts industry visit each 6 week term to hold masterclasses & workshops in their given field. Our visiting experts range between leading West End performers, tv & film actors, choreographers, agents, directors, pop singers etc, all of whom feel as strongly about inspiring the next generation of performers as we do.

We provide an enriching and inspiring family environment designed to nurture the creative talents of 13-20 year olds. Operating out of Lambeth College's high-spec performance facilities, Forecast is the perfect home for young people with a passion for performance looking for extra-curricular training.

We run, and accept applications, throughout the year, within terms of 6 weeks. Each self-contained term focuses on a different industry discipline, incorporating drama, dance and vocal studies, and results in a public Showcase performance in our fantastic theatre space.

Since our launch in April 2013, our students have received places and won scholarships at full-time academies such as BRIT School, American Musical Theatre Academy, Putney High and Italia Conti. We have also helped our students to gain professional work ranging from leading roles in a CBBC sitcom series to professional concerts sharing the stage with West End stars, and featuring in individual professional concerts.

We look to support our students not just within the hours that they are in our school, but as a part of their entire creative development, both in education and professional work. All applicants are offered a free taster session & audition so they may meet us, see our facilities, work with our other students, and experience for themselves if Forecast could be right for them.

You can see some more info and some videos on this page: http://forecastacademy.co.uk/what-they-say/

In addition to our website, we are on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/ForecastAcademy) and Twitter (@forecastacademy) - please do like/follow us for updates

We would love for you to take a closer look at what we offer, as we believe we are a perfect environment for extra-curricular pre-drama school training.

Applications are made via our website, but we are always happy to answer any questions via email hello@forecastacademy.co.uk or on 0208 333 2706

Many Thanks, also to the site admin for their support, and all best wishes
